6-Day Uganda Safari | Kibale, Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi & Lake Bunyonyi

6 Days 5 Nights

This 6-day Uganda safari moves through Kibale, Queen Elizabeth, and Bwindi before ending on the still waters of Lake Bunyonyi, weaving together chimpanzee trekking, a Kazinga Channel boat cruise, and a face-to-face hour with a wild mountain gorilla family.

Western Uganda rewards those who move through it slowly. This six-day circuit connects three ecosystems with almost nothing in common.

The dense, primate-rich canopy of Kibale Forest gives way to the open savannahs and crater lakes of Queen Elizabeth National Park, and then to the steep, mist-covered ridges of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Each place asks something different of you.

What ties them together is the quality of the wildlife encounters, the way the landscape keeps shifting, and the depth of the communities living alongside these parks.

The journey begins in Kibale, where chimpanzees offer one of Africa’s most engaging wildlife encounters.

It moves south through Queen Elizabeth, where a slow afternoon on the Kazinga Channel brings hippos, Nile crocodiles, and exceptional birdlife into close range.

In Bwindi, tracking mountain gorillas through steep, root-tangled forest is something most visitors struggle to put into words afterward.

This 6-day Uganda safari closes at Lake Bunyonyi, a high-altitude lake ringed by cultivated hills, where the pace of the road gives way to open water and quiet evenings.

  • Scan Queen Elizabeth's open savannah during a morning game drive for lions, buffalo, elephants, and Uganda kobs
